Best Cleaning Cloths For Bathrooms
When it comes to cleaning the bathroom what we use to clean it with matters. So, if you are looking to find the best cleaning cloths for bathrooms then let’s talk cloths.
If we want to make the most of the cleaning time that we have so we don’t spend hours deep cleaning bathrooms using the right products matter.
The type of cloth you use and where you use it will have an effect on the quality of the job you are doing and this can mean cleaning the bathroom more frequently if you use less-than-ideal items to tackle the cleaning.
The type of cloth that you use and the cleanliness of the cloth matters too. You don’t want to be spreading more germs than you are removing.
What Are The Best Cloths for Bathrooms?
First let’s consider the conditions that the cloth needs to manage, and remember there are multiple surfaces so there is going to be more than one cloth to cover all areas.

There are a lot of different areas that you need to clean and if they need a different product to clean then they are going to need a new cloth too.
Never mix chemicals even on a cloth.
Cleaning Glass And The Cloths Needed
When you clean glass in the bathroom there are a few different types and they might need different options to get them clean.
If for instance you have a shower door and there is any form of watermark you are going to need a cleaner first for the watermarks.
The easiest way is to use a cream cleaner on a sponge, a Scrub Daddy is a non-scratch product so you know you aren’t going to damage the glass.
Apply this in a small circular motion to work the product into the glass. Rinse the product away and dry it with a cheap microfiber cloth. Buff it with a glass cloth to make it shine.
Other windows and mirrors use the Ecloth window option where you get the cleaning cloth and then you get the glass buffing cloth to make the windows shine.

Cleaning The Toilet And The Cloth Required
A toilet is a place where lots of germs can congregate and this isn’t good so keeping these at bay is important.
Having a set of cloths that are used just on the toilet is an idea. I used to use a cheap microfiber cloth in a set color blue to clean the toilet. They would be presoaked in a disinfecting solution before being washed with the other cloths that I used.
Now, I look for cloths that are infused with silver to do my toilet cleaning. Why, because silver is a natural blocker from germs and bacteria growing. Meaning that any cleaning I do around the toilet isn’t going to result in the cloth becoming germ-ridden.
This means it can go in the wash with all the other cloths without having to presoak any cloths first, saving me time and money.
Using toilet paper or paper towels is wasteful and not good for the environment or your pocket.
Sinks, Baths, And Shower Trays
The first thing you have to think about is the product you are going to use to clean the area. A cream cleaner or spray is a great option, read the instructions on how to use the product.
Now I use a Scrum Mommy in the bathroom to get the deep dirt off the area, these are non-scratch and allow you to get into all the areas giving it a good scrub.
Rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth and buff to a shine with a glass cloth.
What Cloth To Use When Cleaning Tiles?
I like to wet tiles first before cleaning them and I will use a microfibre cloth on the tiles but I will also use a grout brush to get into the grout lines to ensure that they are clean and not harboring any germs or bacteria.
Rinse the tiles and wipe off any excess moisture before buffing them with a glass cloth.
The product I use on tiles is my tea tree spray because I don’t want mold to appear in any of the grout and it does smell nice too.
Cleaning Drains In The Bathroom
With any drain you need to keep it clean otherwise it’s going to block and smell. The more you keep the drains clean and clear of debris the better they will perform.
I always wear gloves when doing the drains, they do make me feel a bit queasy but it’s one of those tasks that we need to do.
I use a drain de-clogger to pull out any hair that has gone down the drain and just rinse everything down well.
There is no need for any cloths at this point in your bathroom cleaning.
Cleaning The Taps In Your Bathroom
There is a craze at the moment on having black matt taps, if you have these make sure you are aware of how to clean them because they are different from the standard chrome taps.
Don’t use a product and leave it on your taps for longer than the recommended time, always rinse off the product, this is the most important step.
Leaving the product on taps too long can damage the appearance of the taps.
Once rinsed dry with a microfiber cloth and buff with a glass cloth to make them shine.
Cleaning Shower Curtains And Vent Cleaning
When it comes to cleaning shower curtains it’s easier to put them in the wash this makes sure that no mold or mildew builds up along the bottom of the curtain.
Whilst shower curtains are cheap and easy to use they aren’t the easiest item to keep clean, you have to be able to wash them otherwise you will just be replacing them frequently.
As for the vents in your bathroom you want to keep these clean and use them to remove the excess moisture from your bathroom.
You might need professional help to clean inside the vent to ensure that it has a clear and unobstructed venting tube.
Cleaning The Bathroom Floor
There are so many different ways to clean a bathroom floor, first, it depends on the flooring and the recommended cleaning process.
If you have a carpeted bathroom you aren’t going to mop it, for example.
Other floor types can be mopped, cleaned with a cloth, steamed, or even using a disposable wipe.
I use a microfibre mop to ensure that it’s kept clean daily and once in a while I will get down on my hands and knees and use a microfiber cloth and a cleaning solution for a deep down clean.
