1) Cleaning Cloths Are So Important
When it comes to cleaning you are going to need some sort of cloth, for me I have a few cleaning cloths for the bathroom as they serve different purposes.
I have learned over the years that cleaning cloths haven’t all been made equal.
There are differences for a reason and that reason could be a better cleaning experience.
I do have a few choices here and my reason for using them:
I will choose an Ecoth for general cleaning and the Ecloth window cleaning system for bathroom cleaning.
But for the toilet, I always choose a cloth that is infused with silver because bacteria and germs can’t grow on silver.
This means that when you rinse these cloths off the germs and bacteria they picked up aren’t staying and growing on the cloth.
2) Cream Cleaner But Which One?
I don’t think there are many differences with a cream cleaner. They are all designed to do a certain task.
The difference with most of these is the smell and the cost. You can buy cream cleaners that are expensive and you can buy cheaper ones.
It’s more about finding the cream cleaner that you like, that you are comfortable paying the price for and you feel does a good job.
Don’t overthink your cream cleaner, just pick one that you want to use.
3) Do I Need A Grout Cleaning Brush
I didn’t have one of these grout-cleaning brushes for ages, to be fair when I first got married they weren’t even a thing.
However, when I found one and gave it a try it saves so much time when cleaning grout. Not only are they good for cleaning between tiles, but they are also good at getting into those places where grime hides and is difficult to get to like around taps.
There are a few different brands, my grout brush brand isn’t around anymore, but I am thinking of getting the Oxo brand brushes.
4) Scrub Daddy Or Mummy Are They Any Good
I will admit that I have been converted to using Scrub Daddy’s and Scrub Mummy’s for cleaning because they are a non-scratch product.
They also work and they work well. I use them for the tougher areas of a clean, including using cream cleaner when I clean shower glass doors.
5) Duster Do I Need One?
It depends on what you have in your bathroom if you need a duster. If you have any decorations then yes you are going to need to dust these.
I don’t have decoration in my bathroom so I just use my Ecloth to clean areas that you might dust in other rooms including the window sill and the walls and baseboards.
6) Glass Cleaner And Glass Cleaning Cloths
Using a glass cleaning cloth is a must in your bathroom, not only are they amazing at cleaning the windows and mirrors they are also so good at polishing and shining up the areas you have cleaned.
I do love the Ecoth window cloths, I find that they are good and the cloths are quite large too.
Having bigger cloths means that there is more potential polishing power available in the cloths.
7) What Toilet Cleaner & Cloths?
As I mentioned before it’s important to have silver-infused cloths to clean the toilet, they won’t spread the germs and they can’t grow and multiply on the cloths either.
But what else do you need to clean the toilet? I have found that a silicon toilet brush is amazing, I refuse to have the typical toilet brush in my home, they are often disgusting and not something I would use.
The new modern silicon brushes often come with a device to stick them to the wall, this is great if you have small children.
What you clean your toilet with can depend on where you live. I still use bleach down my toilet, it’s the only place I use bleach in my home. However, I know some homes can’t use a bleach-based product and I would look for recommendations as to the best product to use in that scenario.
8) Drain Cleaning And What To Use
If your water stops going down the drain you will need to have a way to clean it, having them ready is going to save you lots of stress when it happens.
I have been there trying to unblock a sink or bathtub without the proper equipment and it’s not easy!
These drain unblockers are cheap and do the job, you can reuse them if you want but I tend to throw them away after one use.
9) Mop And Bucket (Unless You Have Carpet)
You need to wash the floor unless you have carpet in the bathroom! Having a mop and bucket that works and does the job it’s intended to do then it can save you time.
I have tried many mops over the years and I have to say that I love the spinning mops the best.
This is because it reduces the amount of water on the floor and I can chuck the mop heads in the washing machine.
10) But What Floor Cleaner To Use
When it comes to floor cleaner you need to read the recommendations for the flooring you have. Less is often better than more which it’s why it’s important to read the instructions on how much to use.
It’s about finding the right scent that you like and that it is actually going to clean, so make sure that the cleaning product has surfactants in it. These are what actually make the product clean.
I like the Pink Stuff floor cleaner.
