Simple And Cute Mother’s Day Gift Packages
It’s a difficult time, the way we do things have to change at least for the moment and that means we are more restricted on how we can celebrate special occasions with our loved ones. Create a Mother’s Day gift package to send this year.
Think of it as a care package, something that is special and meaningful that you know your mom will love.
Care Packages For Mom?
What sort of things does your mom like?
This is important as it means the items that you put in the care package are going to be something she will love and use.
Let’s not just send items we think she will love but what we already know she likes and loves.
Sending Your Mother’s Day Gift
You must consider if you are sending the parcel via mail or delivering yourself, don’t rush and give your mom a cuddle if you are keeping your distance no matter how much you want to.
If you intend to send the parcel in the post you will need to think about the items you buy as you don’t want them getting broken in the post. This can make it more challenging to send items and sometimes you do need to think outside the box.
Whereas, if you are hand delivering the care package it will be easier to include items that might break being sent via the mail.
But don’t feel bad for sending your Mother’s Day gift in the post, sometimes this is the only option.

What to put in a care package for your mom will depend on a lot of different things, including what she likes, if it’s suitable for the delivery option you have available and if it’s something your mom wants.
Some examples of items to include in a care package, a perfect gift for mom:

When compiling a care package make sure that you are not sending anything that might make someone ill. If you have been ill you don’t want to spread it to other people, including family members.

Packing Up Your Care Packages
Let’s think about how to package the care packet up.
We want it to look nice and presentation is key, it will be easier to present an item that you are hand delivering rather than mailing it, but don’t despair you can still think about the presentation too.
Delivering The Care Packages
What you will need if you are hand delivering the care package you will need to think how you place things in the box and the box itself.
I recommend getting a wooden crate, you might be able to get one of these free from a grocery shop.
If you have time you can paint the create in a colour that your mom will like. It’s reusable too, either in the garden or inside the home.
Then the fun starts with arranging the items into the box, start with the biggest items at the back.
Fill in the gaps with the smaller items at the front, place the card or letter at the front of the box.
If the box is too big you might need to bulk up the gifts with tissue paper under the gifts, this helps to lift the gifts up in the box making them stand-out better.
Remember when placing the gift box on the floor for your mom, place the box towards her so she get’s the full effect when she sees it.
Packing A Care Package For The Mail
When sending a care package in the mail you will present the box differently because everything needs holding together for the parcel delivery person.
Therefore, you need to think about the items you are sending and that they aren’t going to end up broken.
I always recommend wrapping gifts that you are sending in a parcel; it makes it look prettier. You can spend time personalizing gift tags and labels.
One year I made wrapping paper from white tissue paper which I got my children to use ink stamps and ink pads to decorate the paper.
Gift tags are great to make with a Cricut too, I love to use my Cricut Explore Air 2 for crafting projects like this.
I always make hand made cards for family as it’s so much fun and they look amazing too.
Packaging Material Inside The Box
When choosing the box to send your Mother’s Day care package try to pick a box that isn’t too big. The bigger the box compared to the items you are sending means there is more room for the objects to move and this can cause potential movement of items.
What you choose to fill in the gaps of the box will depend on what you can get hold of. You can get packing peanuts that are water soluble.
They work like normal packing peanuts but the person receiving the parcel can dissolve them in warm water and they aren’t harmful at all.
Remember presentation and fill any gaps with a material that will absorb any movement, like packing peanuts, newspaper or tissue paper.
Alternative Ideas For Sending Care Packages
What if you can’t get the items and the parcel all packed up? Don’t panic there are ways that you can still get the gifts you want to give to your mom but by different means.
A Mother’s Day care package is the same if it comes from a supplier, often you can still send a note so your mom knows who the gift is from or you could write a card or letter telling her to expect a box from the company you purchased from.

Make this year’s Mother’s Day count by sending your mom a care package for Mother’s Day. You might not be able to spend the day with her, but you can show her that you care for her just the same by sending a Mother’s Day gift package just for her.
Before you start buying items you have to first decide if you are able to deliver the care package or if you need to ship it to your mom.
This will determine if you need to buy items that are not breakable in the postal system.
Think about what your mom would like, what makes her happy? Choose items that you know she will love and start compiling your box of goodies.
If you can’t create a gift box yourself there are alternatives that you can have shipped directly to her door that you know she will love just as much.
If you are sending the gifts make sure that you wrap them and protect them from damage in the box.
Sending a care package in these difficult times is something that could make a difference in your moms’ day. Take that opportunity to do something special this Mother’s Day.
