Complete Hard Jobs First
As you learn to plan your day in more detail, noticing what jobs are the ones that you dislike and tend to put off until the last-minute, completing it whilst rushing to finish for the day. You must plan this job as early on in the day as possible.
The reason behind this is simple: the stress of knowing you still have to complete the task that you hate will be on your mind for the whole day. You will think about the task and by continuing to put off the task until the last-minute, means that you have not spent quality time with the tasks that you do like.
The hard task
It is normal for some people to like some jobs better than others; this is why it is important that you identify your own weaknesses. Putting the energy that you will have in the morning into the more difficult jobs and tasks will mean that you have more focus. You might be at the top of the leader board in your team when completing this task, but leaving it to the last-minute possible and rushing the job, can bring undue attention from your bosses for poor quality work.
It is not just in a work situation that people tend to put the more difficult tasks to the end of the day, it is true with jobs around the home. Tackling the more challenging jobs for you first can give you a sense of accomplishment and motivation to continue your day in a positive manner.
Procrastination can make you feel that the task is too difficult to manage and you can put too much emphasis on the task and make the idea of actually doing the job greater than it is. It is putting off the jobs and not just getting up and getting the task completed.
Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.
Planning your jobs
At work or home when you compile your list, make sure you identify the tasks that are the ones that you don’t want to do and put these at the top of the list. Aim to do this as soon as possible, get them taken care of making the day more enjoyable with tasks that you are happy to complete.
This means that you will find your day is less stressful and it can make your day more productive.
The more productive your day is, the better you can feel; it can reduce the stress levels and it can make you feel so much better.
Therefore, when you are making your plans for the day, look to see what task you are putting off and put this at the top of your list. This means you are going to have more energy and focus on the tasks you dislike, getting them out-of-the-way first, making the rest of the day a more enjoyable experience.
You can sometimes feel that the task is going to take longer or is more complicated, often this is not the case and is just a way to procrastinate.
