How To Find Your Perfect Planner For Next Year
I don’t know about you but I haven’t found it, have you? Finding your perfect planner for next year and at a reasonable price is difficult!
Most planners all have aspects of what I want and need, but they don’t fit my every need and I end up having at least two planners on the go at any one time!
The Perfect Planner
It’s a pain! There are things that I use and there are things that I don’t use and finding a planner with all these aspects combined just seems impossible!
I want something that works for me, am I that different that there just isn’t a planner that meets my needs?
Why is planner shopping so difficult, do other people have the same problem?
With planners that are digital products, it makes it so much easier to find the right planner for you!
So, that’s what I did!
Creating The Perfect Planner
I have been creating my own planners for a few years, I use these alongside brought planners, and I wanted to own one of these cool planners too!
But for me, the bought ones just stay empty and the ones that I design and make for myself are the ones that work! They work for me and I wanted to see if they will work for you too!
I’ve decided that I just need to accept that there isn’t a planner that meets my needs and I just have to make one myself!
The Monthly Calendar
Why have a monthly calendar? It allows me to see the bigger picture, the year as a whole rather than just a month at a time!
I need somewhere I can put dates in that I know I need to remember, this is why I use a monthly calendar, it just needs enough space to write in appointments and birthdays!
I don’t use this for things I need to remember for a particular month, I use the Dates to Remember section for that!
In here, I like to put things that I need to do that month, August for me is the month I organize the chimney sweep. I don’t have a date for this until August, but it reminds me to do that task and it’s not something that I have to remember!
I can then add this to my monthly plan when August comes around and book the chimney sweep, this date is then added to the calendar!
Using The Monthly Planner
For each month I like to have an overview of the things that need to happen in a given month, it gives me the chance to plan things for the upcoming month a little better! I can start to work in some goals and plans into the month to see what they look like!
Which leads us nicely to the weekly planning sheet, I have one set up which I think would be an ideal week! This keeps my hopes up that I can do this!
Each week I like to block plan my time, giving me a rough idea of how I want the week to look, noting down appointments and the things I must do!
Time blocking is quickly becoming one of my favourite techniques for planning my time and fitting everything in that I need to do!
The Best Weekly planner
If you have a basic plan set up for the week, you might not consider using a daily planner, however, it is what you need to work from to make your plan work!
Things change and being able to look at what you have planned for the week and working with that to set out your day each morning, or the night before helps to clarify the important parts of your day!
A weekly planner is only as good as the execution, by breaking this down into a daily plan helps to ensure those important tasks are complete!
