5 Tips For Organizing In 5 Minutes Per Day
If you feel that you have little or no time to be organized and have the home you always dreamed of, then you might be surprised how quickly you can organize and clean your home in short 5-minute bursts. Organizing your home in short bursts can make fitting in tasks easier.
It will give you a sense of accomplishment and it can mean that you are not tied to your home constantly cleaning; you can have a great working/home life balance.
The kitchen
This is the place where you will need to spend a lot of time preparing and cooking food, and yet if this room is untidy it can make your whole home feel messy and unloved. Set the timer for 5 minutes and start tackling that washing up. If you have a dishwasher, train family members how to put items in there, this keeps the countertops clear. If you don’t have a dishwasher then a quick wash of the dishes will make you feel better the next time you walk into the kitchen.
Picking up
For many people this can cause the most contention, it doesn’t take long to pick up an item that doesn’t belong, but many people feel that if they didn’t get the item out why should they put it away? It is not a battleground that I feel is worth the argument, picking up an item is a great way to quickly tidy up a room and it doesn’t matter who left the item, and you have helped them with one less chore to complete.
Bins
Bins that are full can cause smells; it is these unpleasant smells that can cause flies and other insects to become attracted to your bin. Getting all the trash out of your home every day or every other day will cut down the smell and it will make your home smell less of unpleasant odors and will attract a lot fewer flies into your home.
Calendar
Having a calendar where you can keep track of all your family’s appointments will allow you to be organized and less likely to forget an appointment or to be late. Being late for anything can make you rush and forget things, this is not good for you or your family. Spending five minutes a day looking at what you have to do the next day and getting items prepared will save you time and money.
Make your bed
A bedroom can look relatively tidy very quickly if the bed is made; it is a great tool to instill into children to make their bed when they get up because even if the room isn’t perfect it will look better with a bed that is made.
If you manage these five things each day, and they can take less than five minutes each then your home will look tidier and more organized; you might even find yourself more motivated to do even more tasks. It doesn’t take long to quickly tidy up a home to make it more manageable to live in.
