How I Shop
I dislike grocery shopping and this is why I have developed this system over several years. I do a big grocery shop once a month, the rest of the month I get my perishables like fruit and milk. This means on ten minute shop once a week and a couple of hours at the beginning of the month. This method has saved me money and time, both very precious commodities in my home.
This method can mean that the last week of the month becomes more difficult to just pick and choose the food that you want, but planning the menus help enormously, it keeps me within my monthly budget. It is a great way for using up some of the store-cupboard ingredients too.
