Nevertheless, it is important that you do feel happy and you, at least, try to find ways in which you feel good and start to feel happy. - This first one might not feel like fun for some people but it is good for you and it can make you feel happy. Exercise will help you feel happy, a short session will make you start feeling good about yourself and feeling happy.
- For many people sleep is something you have a good grasp of and you seem to get the right amount, never feeling tired. They are the lucky ones, for many people sleep is something that doesn’t come easily or you have difficulty in getting to sleep, or at the very least staying asleep. However, getting the right amount of sleep is important in making you feel better and happy. Sometimes I can manage on a small amount of sleep but other days I can feel like I need to sleep for days, and I am not that morning person who is happy and bright when they wake, but maybe it is because I don’t get enough!
- Being with your friends and family can make you happy, they can also make you feel sad, it depends on the relationship you have with them. You want people around you who make you happy and if that is your friends and family, then being with them more might be the tonic you need.
- If you can try getting outside, this can have a positive impact on your mood, sometimes it is too easy to sit indoors and not look at the positive side of life. Getting outside and getting some fresh air is a great medicine for making you feel happy.
- Smile, even if you don’t want to, it can make you feel better and happier.
- Meditation is good for the mind, it stops you worrying about different things and that is good, it is something that I want to do but I worry that I wouldn’t do it right!
- Be thankful, even those small things in life can have a positive effect; it makes you think about the good things that happen and not the bad or difficult situations.
- This might sound odd, but when did you do something that you enjoy? It might just be reading a book or a day out at the park with your children, just do something that you want to do.
- Avoid negative people, they don’t make your life enjoyable and avoiding them will make you happier.
- Stop procrastinating, just get that job which you are putting off doing, and get it done; you will feel better for it in the end.

If you feel happy you will get more done and the more you do the better you will feel. Don’t give up; happiness is a choice that you should not have to make but often it is something you have to do, to make sure that you take the time to do the things that you want in life and that is important too.
