Yes I found that one cupboard at a time is good. Stops the kitchen looking like a bomb has been dropped in it, too!

  2. Thanks for your kind words 🙂

  3. I have cleaning ADD. Once I start something, I go into a different room and start cleaning there. I never really get done with anything.

  4. The less stuff you have out on the counter tops, the less you have to move to clean…I am working on this! I will have the counters cleared and then the next day I’m back to the clutter again. Some day.

I can get distracted in cleaning also. Do you know what helps me? Sometimes I put on a podcast to listen to and I tell myself that I can only clean during it. Listening to the podcast keeps me entertained enough that I do not get distracted into doing something else! Kitchen chores are perfect for podcasts. 🙂

  5. My favorite think is not having anyone disturb me! I might give your idea a go! Thanks for taking the time to comment and visit 🙂

  6. I know that feeling and I hate it! Thanks for taking the time to visit 🙂

  7. I get easily distracted while cleaning the kitchen too! Like Emily, I like to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while cleaning. Helps me keep focused. With a baby about to start crawling, I really need to keep my kitchen floors clean at least! Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty 🙂

  8. I miss those baby stages! Thanks for visiting 🙂

  9. I love cleaning my kitchen. 🙂 It’s kind of a moment of Zen for me to just blast my Disney tunes and scrub out cabinets and drawers. I think your advice on using just dish soap and warm water is good; I keep a spray bottle of a water/Dawn (a common dish soap here in the US; I think I remember reading that you don’t have it across the pond?) mixture under my sink for general cleaning. Makes it easier to contain and you can easily move it from room to room. Plus, dish soap is designed to break up grease, so it’s a helpful tool in the nasty kitchen. Side story–we needed our stove replaced over the weekend (the original was from 1996, when the house was built), and when we moved it, there was so much gunk and greasy crap underneath it that I was appalled. I grabbed my handy-dandy bottle of Dawn and water and sprayed it like the power of Christ compelled it, and would you know it? That sticky, greasy mess came right up and was never heard from again. 🙂

Anyway, great article! Makes me want to rush home and scrub a cupboard.

  10. Thank you for your kind words, I am glad that I am not the only one who loves to clean! I really wish I could see for myself the magic power of Dawn I have heard great stories about it! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon! 🙂
