  1. Ewww, nobody wants to have to sort out a strangers underwear.

We don’t have a loft but we do have a room that gets used for storage, and keeping things in boxes is certainly the best way to manage to manage it, the stuff that isn’t in boxes is so much harder to manage.

I would never have thought that too much insulation could cause mildew, I’ve learnt something new today.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to comment and lean something new! 🙂 Have a great week!

  5. You are so right about the insulation. My parents wanted to spend less and asked some inexperienced guy to make it for their loft and when the heavy rains started, their loft got filled with grow which spread literally everywhere. They fixed all now by making a window which they open regularly and that way they regulate the humidity. I would like to add 1 thing – periodically check the condition of the ceiling. My employees recently visited a customer for a house clearance which loft was flooded because the ceiling hasn’t been maintained regularly. All the cleaning and decluttering of your loft may be in vein if you don’t pay attention to those little details.
Overall, a very useful post. Thank you, Sharon !

    Best wishes, Allan.
